Doogh (Persian Yogurt Drink)
I first had this Iranian drink called doogh at my in-laws’ house and I’d go as far as saying it’s 3052% more refreshing than most other beverages. Doogh is like a mint-yogurt frappé.
It’s a nice way to use up a little extra mint from the garden or from another recipe, or to serve before or after a heavy dinner since it’s meant to aid in digestion (yogurt + mint).
Doogh (Persian Yogurt Drink)
serves 1
Ingredients
1 cup yogurt
2-3 sprigs fresh mint
small pinch of salt
soda water
ice
Instructions
Put the yogurt, mint and salt into a blender or use an immersion blender to fully liquify the mint.
Then pour into a glass with ice, top with soda water and stir.
Drink, then probably make another one because they are so good.
